Send file to mainframe using DMX-h

Hi

I am trying to send the attached file to mainframes.  The input text file has 61 characters in each of the record (will contain spaces also).  The mainframe dataset is defined to have the file created with 61 LRECL in EBCDIC format.  Can some one please let me know what parameters I miss when I try to send the file to mainframes?

Input.txt

DMX-h%20Exception.doc

Issue:  I am getting the CRPTDFIXED exception.

When I had a look at the mainframe, I got the file created with the parameter as in the below.  Not sure why LRECL is 80 in the created file.

  • DMExpress can generate mainframe type target files but does not support writing directly to mainframe systems.

The best way to do this is to create the target as a local "Mainframe fixed record length" file and then transfer the file to the mainframe with another utility such as Connect:Direct or binary ftp
